Vero Beach, Florida

We had a wonderful time in Vero Beach; met new friends; contacted old friends and had a special Christmas. Thank you so much to everyone. We are hoping to leave on Wednesday for Fort Pierce and then on to Miami and the Bahamas. Looking forward to some warm, clear water!!

Kim, from Amanzi, with Leona's help, cooked us a fabulous South African Brunch for Christmas Day. 

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with friends of Bill and Leona, Don and Pam at their home in Vero Beach. We had a wonderful Christmas.

Sea Holly had a Christmas tree!! Marco and Sylvie left us in Vero Beach to spend some time with family and work in Fort Lauderdale. We miss them!

This yacht was just being commissioned. The helicopter was still in shrink wrap. Some people have far too much money!! 

Another interesting swing bridge at Titusville, Florida. We anchored here for 2 days in 40 knot winds - Abby was confined to the boat and I was sea sick!!

We are in Vero Beach, Florida, planning to stay here till after Christmas when we'll head further south and start looking for a good weather window to cross to the Bahamas. Will try and get some photos posted but wanted to wish everyone a wonderful holiday -may you have fair winds and calm seas!!!! 

St. Augustine, Florida

We had a wonderful time in St. Augustine. It is a magical city made even more special by a surprise visit from our daughter, Sara who flew in for the weekend. I hate saying goodbye - she is leaving this morning so we will be back to computer/phone communication. We're headed further down the ICW this morning, hoping to be in Vero Beach around the 10th or 11th of December but the week is promising crappy weather so ...
