We are in Oriental, NC enroute to Deltaville, VA where Sea Holly will spend the summer. We'll be home in Amherst mowing grass, gardening and wishing we were back on board. Hopefully, we'll be back on the water in early September. We're planning another winter in the sunny south, not sure of the details yet. It has taken us 15 days from Vero Beach to Oriental. It took us 34 to go down. It was great going outside for some of the passages, we actually have been sailing!!!! Posted by Picasa

Lots of bird colonies along the ICW - it's spring afterall. Posted by Picasa

Ray's pretty good at catching crabs and I'm getting better at cooking them. Posted by Picasa

The ICW is pretty, especially early in the morning. Posted by Picasa

We're back in the US now. We left Great Sale Cay on Wednesday and were anchored in Lake Worth, Florida on Thursday morning at 8:00am. It was a good crossing although we had to motor sail most of the way. One thing we've learned is that there are only three kinds of wind - too much; not enough or the wrong direction!! We cleared customs in Lake Worth and spent a couple of days in the north anchorage getting accustomed to civilization again. Travelled outside from Lake Worth Inlet to Fort Pierce Inlet and then up the ICW to Vero Beach. We had an absolutely beautiful trip outside; sure beats the ICW!! We're planning to spend a few days in Vero before heading north again. It's like Old Home week here in Vero as boats we met in the Bahamas keep checking in. I've posted a few photos from our Bahamas trip below. Posted by Picasa

Just wanted you to know that I did go all the way to the top!! Posted by Picasa

The streets in New Plymouth, Green Turtle are very narrow just enough to accommodate the golf carts which are the main mode of transportation on land. Posted by Picasa

Here's the crowd at the Blue Bee Bar in Green Turtle Cay. The bar has been operating for 48 years by the same family. There's lots of signatures, boat cards and mementos of every kind. We tried out the GoomBay Smashers and they were pretty good, a mixed rum drink but the recipe is secret. We were able to find a clear spot on one wall to post Sea Holly's card. Posted by Picasa
